Working remotely has been gaining attention with the rise in gas prices.  However, some firms and employers recognized the value to telecomutting many years ago.

The benefits of a well-managed telecommutting program are well documented.  On the average, employees give their employers 1.5 hours daily above their 8 hour work day, at no additional cost to the employer.  Additionally, they take less sick days that are really used to take their children to the doctors.  Instead of taking an entire day, they simply take only the necessary time during the day and make up for it either before or afterwards.

Of course, you can't merely give the employee a laptop and VPN connection and expect them to be model remote employees.

It requires a change in management styles, identification of realistic goals and expectations and the proper tools to make this work.

Galen Dean Consulting has been involved with telecommutting since 1995 with an excellent track record.  It's more than just providing the tools; it's a culture change for management and employees.

Give us a call and we can customize a telecommutting program for your specific needs.  If your situation is not suitable for telecommutting, we will tell you up front.
